The sustainable and effective operation of process water reticulation systems is threatened by the occurrence of solids entrainment.
The resulting contaminated water could lead to a series of problems:
- The costly replacement of hydro-powered equipment and pumping infrastructure in the mining environment
- Silting of clarifiers, storage/intermediate dams and tanks
- Environmental threats when nearby streams come into contact with the discharge
- Costly repairs of downstream infrastructure and processes when blockages occur
- Flooding of underground mining operations due to infrastructure failure
The mining and process plant environment inevitably generates certain by-products, such as the solids found in these streams. These solids have a high likelihood of containing valuable minerals, which are often not handled or disposed of in the correct manner.
We have developed the High Flow De-Grit Plant to remove solids from various process water reticulation systems. The solids can be mechanically handled by various means, after being discharged from the system.
Applications:
- Underground/surface mining operations
- Process and industrial plants
- Waste water
- Drinking water
- Agriculture
Benefits:
- Rapid recovery of usable minerals
- Sustained life on downstream equipment and processes
- Low power consumption
- Compact footprint
- Low maintenance and abrasive wear
- Ability to accommodate fluctuating feed volumes
- Modular design allows the system to be easily expanded upon, by adding modules when required
- Drastically reduced installation costs due to rapid assembly of bolted components
- Minimal civil construction required
- Semi- or fully automatic control available
- Minimal operator intervention
Specifications:
